Zachary Levi is an actor best known for his television roles of Kipp Steadman in Less Than Perfect and Chuck Bartowski in Chuck.

Levi, 29, was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, the middle child with an older and younger sister. He, his parents and sisters moved all over the country before making their final move to their home in Ventura. He began acting in theater at the age of 6, performing lead roles in such regional productions as Grease, The Outsiders, Oliver, The Wizard of Oz and Big River, but it was his portrayal of Jesus in Ojai production of Godspell that brought him to the attention of Hollywood. After graduating from Buena High School in 1998, he headed to Hollywood to pursue his dream of acting.

Levi had a supporting role in the FX television movie Big Shot: Confessions of a Campus Bookie, and he also portrayed a potential boyfriend of Charisma Carpenter’s character, Jane, in the ABC Family television movie See Jane Date. Additionally on television, Levi portrayed quick-witted, scheming Kip Steadman, in four seasons of the comedy series Less Than Perfect.

He landed the starring role in Chuck, an action-comedy series that premiered on NBC on September 24, 2007. Levi is currently in his third season as secret agent Chuck Bartowski. The role also earned Levi a Ewwy Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series in 2009. (The Ewwy Award is a TV production award created by Entertainment Tonight to honor worthy actors and series not nominated for Primetime Emmy Awards).

Levi can also be seen in feature films such as the independent Shades of Ray, about the struggle of a Pakistani man and his upcoming wedding. He also wrapped production on the upcoming Sony comedy Wieners, also starring Keenan Thompson. Levi recently also starred opposite Martin Lawrence in the 20th Century Fox hit comedy Big Momma’s House 2  and plays Toby Seville in the film Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel.

In the summer of 2008, Levi was named one of Entertainment Weekly’s Top Thirty People Under Thirty.

Levi, who resides in Los Angeles, is no stranger to the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. His grandmother, Pat Troxel, was a long-time committee member of the event, and up until the time he graduated from Buena, Levi rode on the parade’s St. Pat’s Pig float. While Levi will be riding in the Grand Marshal’s convertible this year, his Aunt Sally and sisters Sara and Shekinah along with his cousin Mickey will ride on the Pig, so it’s going to be true Levi family affair.
